Checkpoints

Make the video ask for something

A checkpoint pauses playback at a timestamp you choose — collect an email, take a payment, quiz the viewer, or show a form before the video continues.

The five checkpoint types

  • Email gate — viewer enters an email to continue. The classic lead magnet: tease the first minute free, gate the rest.
  • Stripe payment — playback continues after checkout. Sell a course video, a tutorial, a recorded workshop — no separate storefront.
  • Quiz — a multiple-choice question; optionally require the right answer. Training and compliance content that proves attention.
  • Form — multi-field form sent to your email or a webhook mid-video, while context is hot.
  • CTA — a button at the moment of peak relevance, not buried below the player.

How to add a checkpoint

  1. 1

    Open the video's editor

Checkpoints live in the page builder alongside modules.
  2. 2

    Pick the timestamp

Choose the second where playback should pause — right after the hook, right before the payoff.
  3. 3

    Choose the type and configure

Email placeholder text, price and product name, quiz options, form fields — each type has its own small setup.
  4. 4

    Decide if it's skippable

Require it, or allow skipping after N seconds. Required checkpoints block scrubbing past them.
Checkpoints + personalization stack: an email-gated video shared with ?company=Acme greets the viewer by company name, then captures their email at your chosen moment.

Put a checkpoint where attention peaks

Email gates and CTAs are free; payment checkpoints come with the premium plan.
